Revolt our mind Citroen – Survolt II

Lately more and more green supercars comes from France. No problem. We are not complaining. Specially if they look as sexy as Survolt.

We previously mentioned Survolt. This small full electric racing car is based on the concept car REVOLTe presented at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. Still it’s in concept phase, but we hope to see it in the production soon too.

The Survolt is 3.85 metres (12.63 feet) long, 1.87 metres (6.14 feet) wide and 1.20 metres (3.94 feet) high. small size helping with reducing fuel consumption and agile sport driving. The car has horizontal LED headlamps which have lower power consumption than traditional filament bulbs, important in a battery-operated vehicle. At the back the Survolt maintains the light cluster design used on the REVOLTe, and has a spoiler to increase rear downforce.

The Survolt is powered by a pair of electric motors at the front, with a combined power output of 300 BHP (223.71 kW). Its top speed is 260 km/h (161.56 MPH), and it can accelerate from 0–100 km/h (62.2 MPH) in less than 5 seconds. Citroën claims that the batteries provide a range of 200 km (124 miles). All this sounds good. So… in production soon?

Which French car would you like to see as electric? New Electric Goddess? 😉
