Tesla Roadster coming back in 2014 – Tesla Roadster 3 we asume

The gorgeous and glorious Tesla Roadster is out of production, as we mentioned before in article about Tesla stopping production. But don’t worry - Roadster will be back in 2014! we expect few surprises two with improved handling and a new dashboard design.

Tesla Roadster model use Lotus body as a base for this electric sportcar car. The partnership with Lotus set to production of 2,500 cars, which is no reached. Yes, 2,500 happy owners zoom around in silence of their electric Roadster.

As Tesla is now busy with producing Model S and Model X, new sportcar will be based on technology from these two electric cars. Of course Tesla will have to pull all their engineering power in work this time, as we expect that car will handle the curves even better than Lotus version. Great car, great fun and we are anxiously waiting on 2014. Tesla Roadster 3.0

Audi RSe coming in 2013. – new name for the gorgeous Audi R8 E-tron electric sport car

Audi announced new lineup of their flagship sport car R8 for 2014. We are sure that this will include amazing electric sport car Audi E-Tron. We already wrote about this electric monster in the recent months. And anticipate launching that will hit the auto industry with the fastest, most beautiful production electric supercar.

Audi R8 will be updated in 2012 with many details and engine improvements. R8 V10 increasing its current output of 525 bhp to to 540 bhp. And of course V8 version will be present too. For now there is no news about change to E-Tron, except official name – Audi RSe.
We are waiting…

Yes, The DeLorean Motor Company is back with DeLorean DMC-12 as an electric supercar! Car that become famous from the movie Back To The Future are ready for the future!

New DeLorean DMC-12 EV will be built using 80 per cent original parts. And by partnering with Epic Electric Vehicles, new electric powered drivetrain will take your new DeLorean DMC-12 110km and 160km per charge. Epic will use it’s proven electric system to produce 194kW electric motor with pwoer going to the rear wheels. Top speed is not bad at all – around 200km/h. Great for this classic – now in environment friend version. DeLorean interior is updated to accommodation some new gadgets, including your iPhone 4s of course. Cockpit looks great – total modern classic – no rounded plastic here. Just sturdy good design and clean layout.

There is no price revealed yet for this updated classic – but can you put a price on classic such as DeLorean DMC-12 EV?

Australians joined to race in electric cars by producing amazing Varley evR450. CAr was presented at the Third Annual Australian Electric Vehicle Conference. 125 year-old Australian company – Varley – specializing in aerospace, defense and electric vehicles created US$200,000 Ferrari style sport car named Varley evR450.

Varley evR450 winn have two Ultramotive CARBON motors, each with a peak power rating of 150kW and 522 Nm of torque and producing continuous power of 58 kW (122 Nm).

Varley evR450 will rush from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and be electronically-limited to topp speed of 200 km/h. The Varley evR450 will have range of 150 km (93.21 miles) that can be doubled with optional, second lithium-ion battery pack. The Varley evR450 is powered by Lithium Ion cells in a 24Kwh pack. Car can eb charged in ordinary wall plug, so you don’t have to buy any additional equipment (expect maybe extension cord with Australian standard plug). The Varley evR450 inverters are described as “state of the art”, coming off the back of years of development in the electric solar heavy machinery and racing industry.

This amazing electric sport car is truly proof that electric technology is the future of motoring industry. Varley evR450 is gorgeous looking and fast as hell. Say no more. Car is planned to be on the Australian roads in only a few short months. Good on Aussies!

Lotus Evora revisions – Hybrid Evora coming in October 2011

Lotus definitively knows how to create exciting sport cars. Few months ago we wrote about hybrid concept Lotus Evora 414E. In the latest new form Lotus CEO, Dany Bahar, Evora concept will be presented at 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

There are 147 changes to this aggressive sport car, but most exciting one is production ready version of hybrid Lotus Evora – that will be presented in October 2011. According to Lotus, new hybrid Evora will be powered by two electric motors and a 1.2-litre three-cylinder hybrid powertrain. Car will be on sale in 2013. and we can wait to see hybrid Evora quietly roll down the street. I have to admit it will be first time that Lotus car is not followed by rough sport sound from exhaust pipe. But I am more then happy to replace this with knowledge that renewable energy powering this jewel. I am very interested in knowing the price… and I will make sure there is a spare spot in my garage in mid 2013.

Pagani Electrodinamycs Concept – will Pagani build electric supercar? We think it should!

Pagani Automobili created some of the World most exiting cars. Lately they had amazing success with Pagani Huayra that rocks every car lunatic dreams – including me! Not to stay behind, main designer for Pagani, Antonio Bruno, showcased latest electric car concept images for the electric supercar called Electrodinamycs Concept. For now we can’t find a lot of information about this gorgeous supercar as it is very early stage, but Antonio planned to use four inboard-mounted permanent-magnet electric motors connected to the wheels by drive shafts. And of course this is packed in amazing sculptured electric sport car body. We’ll see if Antonio can make few Pagani engineers excited about the projects – and we’ll get more info about possible drive-train and motor options.

Lexus LFA as a hybrid supercar – can Lexus build flagship sport car?

Lexus Motors posted on YouTube video clip compilation showing off latest technology used by luxury car manufacturer. Of course hybrid and electric car technology is now in focus and Lexus is not behind with hyrbid hatchback and hybrid SUV on sale around the World. One of the coolest clips is Lexus LFA roaring around the track. Now, Lexus LFA is powrwed by 4.8-liter V-10. Why? With so much emphasizing on the hybrid and electric, we have flagship LFA as V10? Is it sound – we can sort that out with a few speakers – and believe me Lexus always use the best of audio equipment.

As many car manufacturers returning back their famous sport cars from 60′s and 70′s as a gorgeous eletrci and hyrbind supercars – I believe we’ll see something similar from Lexus soon. Does Lexus believe too?
