Ford GT Hybrid image – New Hero for New Era

We already wrote in previous post that Ford is preparing reincarnation of famous GT into hybrid supercar. This time Auto Express brings image and few more details about new hero of poster wall – Ford GT Hybrid.

According to these image car will keep gracious lines and tough sporty look of ’60tis with some improvements in engineering. Ford GT will weigh right around 3,000lbs — a massive 500 lighter than its predecessor despite the fact that car will include hybrid system. This all should be courtesy of all-aluminium chassis, composite body panels, and an aggressive diet. Car will feature supercharged V8 paired with an electric motor driving the front wheels according to some sources. But I believe that most of the power should be pushed to rear wheels through AWD system. We’ll see.

All we can do if hope that guys from Ford will get serious and make it happen. It was a long time ago when last time I wanted Ford. Ford GT Hybrid? Oh, yes I want one.
