It’s Official – Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive is the fastest electric car in the world!

We were astonished by beauty of Mercedes-Benz electric flagship sports car – Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Electric Drive. Now we can admire it’s speed and handling too, as SLS AMG just made new record for electric car (EV) on famous Nurburgring track.

It was Audi R8 E-tron that last year made just over 8 minutes lap time to tron itself as the fastest production-ready electric car. But now Mercedes SLS AMG Electric Drive took this away with time of 7 minutes and 56 seconds.  So we have a new king in the house – SLS AMG ED gave Mercedes another bragging right, with 751hp under the hood, this is the fastest production electric car in the world.
